Felt Bicycles has unveiled its new Nexar aero road bike, claiming a top-tier build weight of an impressive 6.48kg, significantly undercutting the UCI's 6.8kg minimum. The company asserts the Nexar is 5% faster than its predecessor, the AR, featuring a fully integrated front end and clearance for 32mm tyres. Pricing for the Nexar ranges from £4,675 to £9,899, positioning it firmly in the premium segment.

This release marks Felt's aggressive re-entry into the high-performance aero market, challenging established giants who have often prioritized aerodynamics over weight. The claimed 6.48kg figure is particularly noteworthy, given the industry's recent trend towards heavier, more integrated aero platforms. It suggests Felt is attempting to carve out a niche by offering a 'best of both worlds' solution, potentially appealing to riders who found previous aero bikes too portly for climbing.
